This article covers important strides made in LGBT Healthcare in the past year as measured by the Human Right Campaign’s annual Healthcare Equity Index. Results from the Index show that more than half of the hospitals who participated in the Index have written gender transition guidelines, and 75% of hospitals surveyed offer trans inclusive benefits. Importantly, the report also showed a 35% increase in LGBT care training hours recorded among hospitals surveyed.
