Landmark LGBTQ study comes to Stanford

The PRIDE Study, the nation’s first long-term national health study of LGBTQ+ people, has moved their home base from the University of California, San Francisco to Stanford. The PRIDE Study’s research is focused on the topics of anxiety, depression, and suicide, the role of family support in physical and mental health, and perseverance among LGBTQ people in the face of stigma and discrimination. The study relaunched in 2017 on a web-based platform to reach a more diverse pool of applicants and has attracted nearly 14,000 participants so far.
