Our training and technical assistance manager, Bryce Kahari, was part of a webinar put on by Louisiana Public Health Institute and Louisiana Cancer Research Center entitled “Deep Breaths in the Deep South: the LGBTQ+ Perspective”. The webinar featured a research presentation about minority stress and nicotine dependence for LGBTQ+ people in the Deep South and a panel discussion that provided best practices to support LGBTQ+ health and advice to providers so they can better support smoking cessation efforts in the LGBTQ+ community.
