Everyone with a prostate gland (men and transgender women)

- For African American men and transgender women, tests may be offered after age 45
- For men and transgender women with a first degree relative with prostate cancer, tests may be offered beginning at age 40

Cervical cancer (pap smear)

Who should be screened?

All women
Everyone with a cervix

What age does screening begin?

Within 3 years after first intercourse or by 21 years old

How often should people be screened?

Every year until age 30
Then, every 2-3 years, after having three negative pap tests in a row
Screening can be stopped at age 70 if there have been no abnormal Pap test results in the last 10 years

With sigmoidoscopy
- Every 5 years, followed by a colonoscopy if the test results are positive.
